About My Work:

Somehow you've managed to stumble across my page and I'm ecstatic you're here. To begin, expressing myself through my photos has been an escape for me since I was in my early teens. I was a very emotional, traumatized, and creative young person when an art teacher accepted my quirkiness. She taught me photography in its purest form by using a film camera while also teaching me to develop my photos in a dark room. I then learned to embrace the darkness of my creativeness and create ethereal pieces of art. This acceptance and nurturing moment has helped guide me to the artist I am today. My passion is to work with individuals and families in natural low light. Please reach out if you need or would like to know more.

About Me:

I'm Mariah Bogenholm! I'm originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and have also lived in Hawai'i for an extended period of time. However, I have found my forever home here in the PNW. My love for the environment has led to the love I have found for Washington. This place brings me so much peace and presents opportunities beyond my imagination. It wouldn't surprise you that I'm currently a full-time student studying environmental science and anthropology. Beyond being a student, I'm a wife, a Mother, a very proud cat mom, a sister to my six siblings, and an Aunt and best friend to my three beautiful nieces and nephew.

I love all things outdoors especially when it's autumn, chilly, and raining. I'm a self-titled concert/music connoisseur and my happiest listening to live music. I'm an open book and love sharing my life and experiences with everyone from all walks of life. Lastly, I'm a creative and express myself through multiple mediums. My favorites are photography and ink on paper. I can't wait to cross paths with potential new clients to share my art with!
