About My Work:

Somehow you've managed to stumble across my page and I'm ecstatic you're here. To begin, expressing myself through my photos has been an escape for me since I was in my early teens. I was a very emotional, traumatized, and creative young person when an art teacher accepted my quirkiness. She taught me photography in its purest form by using a film camera while also teaching me to develop my photos in a dark room. I then learned to embrace the darkness of my creativeness and create ethereal pieces of art. This acceptance and nurturing moment has helped guide me to the artist I am today. My passion is to work with individuals and families in natural low light. Please reach out if you need or would like to know more.

About Me:

Hi, I’m Mariah Bogenholm! Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, I also spent several years living in Hawai‘i before ultimately finding my forever home here in the Pacific Northwest. My deep love for the environment is what first drew me to Washington, and it continues to inspire me every day. This beautiful place brings me a sense of peace and has opened doors to opportunities beyond anything I could have imagined.

I’m currently a full-time Mama just trying to make a dream happen. Outside of being a Mama I’m a wife, a proud cat mom, one of seven siblings, and a loving aunt and best friend to my three amazing nieces and nephew.

I thrive outdoors. Especially during the autumn months when it’s chilly, rainy, and everything feels a little more magical. I’m also a self-proclaimed concert and music enthusiast, and nothing makes me happier than experiencing live music.

Above all, I’m an open book who loves connecting with people from all walks of life and sharing the experiences that shape who I am. Creativity has always been a huge part of my life, and I express myself through many artistic mediums, with photography and ink illustration being my favorites. I can’t wait to connect with new clients and share my art and passion with others!
